Dignity in Portland

Back in mid May, I heard that the Oregon Airshow would be hosting a replica of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial. That was well and good until it was pointed out that in order to see the wall you would be required to pay a $15 admission fee, unless you were a veteran or active duty military. It took veterans less than 48 hours to convince the Dignity / Airshow people that this was unacceptable!

Now comes the strange part. Today I receive in the mail a letter from JC Aubry of Dignity Memorial in Portland. the letter included two VIP passes for the Sunday August 30 Performance of the Oregon Airshow. Included in the VIP passes :
  • Admission
  • Reserved seating
  • Food and Drink
  • VIP Parking
Quite a deal for someone who was so hard on them only months ago don't you think?
Unfortunately I cannot use the tickets but they will not go to wast I am sending them to a veteran in the Portland area to enjoy.
Ain't America wonderful you can stir the shit and still get something for your effort.
